Ralph is an NRA Training Counselor and an owner of APT Training, LLC.
Ralph started shooting at an early age and was on the high school shooting team. He joined the Marines after high school and was active for eight years; four of those as a Recon Sniper.
Ralph has shot competitions ranging from long range rifle, IPSC, Trap, Skeet, and Sporting Clays. He is currently the SKB USA Shotgun, Sales and Service Representative for the Pacific Northwest.
Ralph has taught the YES program promoting shooting for children and young adults. He teaches all of the disciplines. He is the Discipline Director for Youth Shotgun at four different gun clubs
His philosophy is that training and learning never stops. Ralph’s goal is to promote safe shooting and to encourage people to learn about firearms and firearms safety.
Ralph is a Chief Range Safety Officer. He is a NRA Training Counselor and can teach instructor and student-level courses in FIRST Steps pistol/rifle/shotgun, Basic pistol/rifle/shotgun, Refuse to be a victim, Home Firearms Safety, Personal Protection in the Home, Metallic and Shotshell Reloading, Range Safety Officer, and Chief Range Safety Officer.
When not teaching, Ralph enjoys hunting, fishing, working with his dogs, and playing with his granddaughter.
