March 2011 NRA Instructors Personal Protection in the Home course

We are receiving a lot of calls about our upcoming NRA Instructors Personal Protection in the Home course. We do have spots available for the March 25-27 course at Johnson Creek Gun Club. This is the next step for instructors and students looking for some additional training in defending themselves against becoming a victim.

Defending ones own property is among the most common reasons for owning a firearm. To help handgun owners learn more about firearms and home defense, the NRA developed the Basics of Personal Protection In The Home Course. This course teaches the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family. Students can also learn about their right to self-defense as a law-abiding citizen.

“The responsibility of protecting your home falls upon you. The homeowner is the first responder.” said John Howard of the NRA’s Training division.

Our instructor-level course requires you to have successfully completed the NRA Instructors Pistol shooting Course. Once you are certified, you can begin teaching the Personal Protection in the Home course to students which is a great way to add additional courses to your curriculum and create return business.
